BIAB / Builder Gel Course (Soft & Hard Gel)

Foundation (applies to builder overlays)
• Consultation, contraindications, records + aftercare
• Nail anatomy + natural nail assessment (what the nail can safely handle)
• Safe prep: cuticle control, correct surface prep, dust control
• Adhesion logic (why lifting happens and how to prevent it)
• Product knowledge: builder types, viscosity, curing behaviour, control
• Structure: apex placement, stress area, C-curve, profile, sidewalls
• Clean cuticle zone application (no flooding, no thick ridge)
• Refinement filing: shaping, smoothing, balance, finish quality
• Troubleshooting: lifting, cracking, bulk, heat sensitivity, patchy curing

Builder Overlay Application (structured, salon-standard)
• Base layer logic + correct builder placement
• Building a strong overlay with a refined finish
• Controlling thickness: strong, not bulky
• Sealing and finishing for longevity and shine

Maintenance Essentials
• Refill/rebalance fundamentals (structure refresh, apex repositioning)
• When to rebalance vs remove
• Repairs, corner breaks, and weak points
• Professional rebooking and client education

• Online theory modules (completed before practical)
• In-house practical training (hands-on)
• Tutor demonstration + guided step-by-step practice
• Supervised correction throughout training
• Live model work (where applicable)
• Assessment & competency sign-off
• ABT Certification on completion

Choose the delivery format that suits you:

Option 1 – 2 Half Days (approx. 3 hours per session)
Option 2 – 1 Full Day (Mondays/Tuesdays preferred or Sundays limited availability)

Kit Option: Choose With Kit or Training Only (No Kit) at checkout.

With Kit (Recommended) – Includes the required professional kit for this course.
Training Only (No Kit) – You must already own the required kit/tools and bring them to training.

ABT Accredited.
Insurable through Associated Irish Therapists (AIT) once successfully completed.

Learners are assessed through practical observation and competency sign-off, including:
• safe prep + correct tool handling
• correct structure and finish
• product control and curing sequence
• professional client communication and aftercare

Certificates are released once competency is signed off and full balance is paid.

• Deposit required to secure your place
• Deposits are non-refundable unless the academy cancels
• Balance must be paid before certification is released
• Small class sizes for quality, mentor-led correction
• Models may be required for practical training and/or final sign-off. If you need help sourcing a model, contact us in advance and we will advise based on availability.

Do I need experience first?
Basic manicure + gel polish knowledge is recommended. If you’re unsure, enquire and we’ll advise.

Is this BIAB or hard gel?
This course focuses on structured builder overlays. The exact system(s) used in training are confirmed on booking so you know exactly what you’re working with.

Can I do half-days instead of a full day?
Yes — choose Option 1 at checkout.

Do I need a kit?
No — you can choose Training Only (No Kit) if you already have the required tools.
