📚 Course Structure – 8 Week Journey to Certified Makeup Artist

Week 1 – Skin Prep, Hygiene & Foundation Basics
Learn to identify skin types, prep the skin professionally, and apply primer and foundation for a flawless base. Introduction to product sanitisation and brush hygiene.

Week 2 – Colour Theory, Face Shapes & Contouring
Master undertones, colour correction, and highlight/contour techniques tailored to individual face shapes for both natural and defined looks.

Week 3 – Eyes & Brows: Natural to Enhanced
Learn day makeup techniques including brow shaping, soft eyeshadow application, and mascara/liner skills. Focus on symmetry and balance.

Week 4 – Glam Eye Looks: Smokey, Cut Crease & Liner
Explore evening and event makeup including bold shadows, smokey eyes, shimmer pigments, gel/pen liners and winged techniques.

Week 5 – Lashes & Bridal Makeup Application
Apply strip lashes with precision. Learn to create soft glam bridal looks suitable for photography and long-wear. Age-appropriate makeup for mature skin also covered.

Week 6 – Red Carpet Glam, Bold Lips & Photography Finish
Go bold with red lips, glitter application, glowing finishes and HD makeup for content, social media and camera work.

Week 7 – Portfolio Building & Real-Model Practice
Create full looks on real models under tutor supervision. Learn how to photograph your work, direct poses, and build your freelance or salon-ready portfolio.

Week 8 – Assessment & Business Building
Final practical assessment on live model. PLUS: Learn how to price services, set up your freelance or salon MUA business, and attract your first paying clients.



💼 Work Experience & In-House Mentoring (Ongoing Throughout)

All students are invited to assist on live jobs, salon events, and model days during the course. You’ll receive one-to-one mentoring, treatment shadowing opportunities, and real-world client experience to build your confidence and speed.

Do I need experience to join this course?

No! This course is suitable for total beginners or those who want to formalise their skills with a professional qualification.

Is this course accredited?
Yes – you will receive a VTCT/ABT-accredited certificate on successful completion, recognised across Ireland and the UK.

What’s included in the kit?
Everything you need to complete the course, including a foundation palette, eyeshadows, blush, liner, mascara, brushes, lashes, disposables, and hygiene products. It’s yours to keep.

Do I get to work on real models?
Yes – from Week 4 onwards, you’ll practice on live models under supervision to build confidence and speed.

What happens if I miss a class?
We’ll always do our best to accommodate a makeup session or offer you alternative options, but attendance is required for certification.

Can I earn money from this course?
Absolutely – many of our graduates begin freelancing or offering makeup treatments shortly after certification. We also offer business start-up guidance in Week 8.
